A book is about the people in it.  Characters are what readers remember long after the story's details fade.  Character is shown through exposition, action, and especially through dialogue.  Using discussion, example, and exercises, this class will focus on both the development and demonstration of character, and techniques of writing convincing dialogue.  For all experience and skill levels.

SJ Rozan, has won multiple awards, including the Edgar, Shamus, Anthony, Nero, Macavity, and the Japanese Maltese Falcon. She's written thirteen books under her own name and two with Carlos Dews as the writing team of Sam Cabot, plus more than fifty short stories.  SJ was born in the Bronx and lives in lower Manhattan. Her newest book is Sam Cabot's Skin of The Wolf.
