With Featured Poet and Publisher

Penny Dunning

Followed by Refreshments, Book Signings and an Open Mic Reading.

Penny Dunning has lived in Indianapolis for the last 29 years. She received her BA from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her MBA from Western Governors University.  For thirty years she has worked in the nonprofit and government sector focused on public health and injury prevention. Her first full-length collection of poetry, Beyond First Lines, was released in 2011. Her second book, Wooden Prayers, was released in 2013.

She will not only read from her own poetry but also from the poetry of some of the authors she has published and also of others she just likes. She will discuss her own taste concerning the language of poetry and the kind of things that get her attention when she reads a new manuscript. She is the founder and institutional flame of Chatter House Press.
