Join us to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Indiana Writers Center with the launch of Only Witness, a collection of short stories by its founder, Jim Powell. We’ll share drinks and hors d’oeuvres, then listen to Jim read a short selection from the book. Signing will follow.  Live music for the evening provided by Nick Ivanovich.

Jim Powell
founded the Writers’ Center of Indianapolis (now the Indiana Writers Center) in 1979 as part of Free University, and served as its director for twenty years. He taught composition and creative writing at IUPUI. The author of more than seventy stories, Powell was the recipient of a Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis. He holds an MFA from Bowling State University.
