Come experience the experimental! Take a sip of beer with Bernadette Mayer, join Theresa Cha as she examines Korean history by way of wordy images, and run into wooden cutouts of the most beautiful women you’ve ever seen by way of Erica Hunt all online! This course will introduce you to the heavy hitters of experimental writers while also trying your hand at the style yourself. If you’re finding your writing needing to bounce around on the page, completely jump off the page, or accompany another medium, this class will be home for you.
Each week participants will be emailed a reading packet and writing prompts. On Saturdays they'll meet online through Zoom for the opportunity to share and discuss their work and impressions.
