The Readers’ Night In Gala

                                                                 A Benefit for the Indiana Writers Center


You don’t have to tell us that fundraising galas are a lot of work. There are myriad details to plan and coordinate: a room to rent, speeches to write, etc. Plus it’s winter, and you might not want to get dressed up and go out in the cold—even for a really good cause.

That’s why we’ve decided to host our fundraising gala at your house.

It’s the Readers Night In Gala: a benefit for the Indiana Writers Center, the nonprofit organization dedicated to instructing, inspiring, and connecting writers across the state. Here’s how it works:

  • Buy a ticket to our Readers Night In Gala. It’s only $50—a mere fraction of the price of attending most fundraising galas. Or buy a table for you and seven of your closest friends (your book club, maybe?) for just $300.

  • Each ticket includes a $10 gift card for Bookshop.org and to support an independent book store of your choice!

  • Feeling inspired? For an additional $25, you can become a member of the Indiana Writers Center and receive discounts on classes and events and other great benefits.

  • Want to get your book club involved? Buy a table for 8 for just $300 and get an $80 Bookshop.org gift card.

  • Feeling generous? We’re also looking for sponsors who would like to support one of our state’s most vital arts without having to wear uncomfortable shoes and sit in a hotel ballroom all night. That’s a great benefit right there!

  • On Thursday, February 29 (Leap Day!), don’t go anywhere. Grab your book—novel, memoir, biography, comic book, you name it—and read. For as long as you want!

  • Single Reader: $50 (includes a $10 virtual gift card to Bookshop.org)
  • Book Club (Table for 8): $300 (includes 8 $10 virtual gift cards to Bookshop.org)


Once you register, we will reach out before 2/29 with your Bookshop.org gift card and info on your membership if applicable. We will also be sending more info about day-of details.
