Angela says:
I had stopped writing, or at least making writing a priority, when I signed up for my first class with Nick Reading in 2023. It had been about 5 years since I had even tried to write something, but after that first session, I immediately signed up for his subsequent classes, hoping to not just continue the course, but also hoping to write alongside the same students again, as they were all so inspiring and helpful to me. From that point forward, my writing was reignited. I took a few other courses around that same time and it all led to me completing a small collection of poetry on my journey through infertility and motherhood, which was recently picked up for publication through Bottlecap Press. I even had students from that first initial class offer their editing eyes to my book before I submitted it. Recently, I’ve been taking memoir classes to encourage and equip me in the writing of my memoir, which I’m hoping to finish this year.
