Have you ever wanted to tell a story in a format that was out of the ordinary? Then this is your class. In the Alternative Forms class, we will study different forms of story-telling that go beyond the traditional Word document.

This is a Creative Nonfiction writing class where you will learn how to tell your story in a format such as PowerPoint, Blog Posts, Google forms, tweets, sidewalk chalk and photography, etc. Stories can be told using grocery lists, poetry, vignettes, open letters, journal entries, and even potentially bringing in art forms like mixed media collage. We will study the works of Miranda July, Michael Kimball and others. This class will help take your mind out of the traditional and become inspired to tackle a new project and/or infuse new life into an existing project.
